On Monday, we celebrated our eighteenth first-date anniversary with a trip to along the coast to a very popular beach, which have never visited before. West Wittering is a wide expanse of lovely sandy beach in West Sussex.Even though the sun was shining and the sky was blue, it was a very cold day with temperatures dipping below freezing.
Raring to go!
Poppy isn’t much of a fetcher, she prefers to find, lie-down and have a nibble!
I much prefer being behind the camera, but we have so few photos of the two of us. Therefore, I am going to make a conscious effort to capture us a little more, so here we are!Rolling around on the sand in progress…
Rolling around on the sand complete! Covered in sand from nose to tail, it was time to leave West Wittering in search of a snack and a nap for Poppy and lunch for us.We wanted to go somewhere nearby and have been to Chichester many times, so we decided to visit Arundel for a change. The castle is quite magnificent and we were almost relieved to discover it was closed, as Poppy would obviously not be welcome. We shall definitely return when it is open and Poppy can have a day with Nathan’s parents!Spring is in the air!
The beautiful South Downs from the idyllic riverbank of Arundel.
We had a lovely day exploring a couple of charming new-to-us places and we will definitely be back again in the future.
