On Monday, we ventured westwards along the coast to beautiful West Bay.
West Bay is situated on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site that stretches for 95 miles from Exmouth, Devon to Studland Bay, Dorset.
The Jurassic Coast is as breathtaking as one might imagine, with towering cliff faces, layers of sedimentary rock dating back 185 million years and the exciting possibility of finding a fossil or two.
It was bitterly cold (-1°C), but you know we just cannot stay away from the coast!
We were even lucky enough to find some fossils!
On the way home, we stopped off at Portland Bill Lighthouse.
By this time the weather had taken a turn for the worse, so we decided against visiting the lighthouse. Instead, we drove down to Weymouth for fish and chips!
