The following morning, we headed straight into Castle Combe. Again, we thought it would be sensible to arrive early. This would be my top tip for anyone wishing to visit this beautiful area, it is definitely worth arriving before 10am, as it will feel less like a tour from a cruise ship and there will be more parking available!
We had a quick bite to eat for breakfast in a café that was sweet, but we would not recommend, so perhaps the above Castle Inn might be better for our next visit?
As with much of The Cotswolds, the village of Castle Combe was small, but oh so pretty and definitely worthy of a visit.
After a leisurely stroll around the beautiful village it was time to head towards our final destination in The cotswolds, Lacock.
