I have been a very busy bee for the past few weeks and I have not been up to my usual blogging, tweeting and pinning. Instead I have been baking, working and baking some more. The food week festival I was involved with was a huge success and I sold out all three events I attended, but more on that in another post.
This coming week I will be making time to catch up with friends and hopefully you will be seeing a bit more of here and on my other favourite sites like Twitter and Pinterest.
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
Playing with my new toy, and I am utterly smitten
Seeing a rainbow after a cloudburst whilst walking Poppy
Finally being able to pick up a parcel from the Post Office after a missed delivery over a week ago and opening it up to find these adorable little treasures from my adorable friend Joann
Enjoying our first organic Jersey Royal’s of the season
Sweetheart hubby buying me my first EOS lip balms after hearing me droning on after seeing so many beauty gurus on YouTube raving about them. Nathan bought me a sweet mint and a honeysuckle honeydew and they are definitely worth all the hype
What has made you happy this week?

Hello sweetheart! How lovely to see this post…I miss you when you're not here, even though I'm happy that it's because you are busy & successful! Things that have made me happy: seeing my garden in the rare moments between torrential rainstorms…it's loving all the water! The big bunch of blue hyacinths that I can see & smell as I write this…Alice, who is 4 today…talking over & developing exciting new business ideas (more soon!)…life in general! Love you sweetie, happy week xoxo

Oh, my! This is a good time to ask about my favorite things from the past week!
First, it was birthday week, and I am glad I was able to celebrate my 72nd birthday. Second, our first child was born on my 33rd birthday, so she had her 39th as well. Third, I am an "older woman" only two days, as my husband celebrated his birthday on Friday! Fourth, our daughter who lives a couple of hours away came for a short visit (fewer than 24 hours) with her husband and our grandchildren on Friday afternoon. Fifth, our newly-married daughter who lives an hour away came into town twice with her new husband to enjoy our birthday celebrations. I have two more.:-) Sixth, our first daughter lives 3 hours away, and she came in on Saturday for her belated birthday celebration. Seventh, we were able to enjoy the opera "Otello" on Sunday afternoon with Mike Austin in the starring role! Absolutely amazing!

Hello Morwenna,
I'm so glad to hear that the food festival turned out to be a great success! I look forward to hearing more about it in another post! I always enjoy seeing your favourite things. The photo of the rainbow is gorgeous, Joann's little cupcakes are adorable, and the lip balms look interesting. I have never heard of them before. A couple things making me happy this week are: 1. My mom is spending a few days at home with us. 2. I am reading a new book – "The Enchanted April". I hope your week is filled with many more happy things! xoxo

Oh Morwenna—love all the LOVES and the joy you share in your heart—I agree with Rachel that we miss you so so much when you're not around; however, we are happy that you are being busy in a good way and I'm so anxious to hear more about it all!!!
A rainbow is so very special, isn't it? YES indeed!!
Five things that made me happy this week:
1. Rod's ultrasound and CT-scan did not show any horrible things
2. Rod's blood tests were all normal
3. We celebrated a wonderful birthday with all the family; it is my oldest daughter's birthday on May 4, but we celebrated on Sunday
4. It is now 1 week until my youngest daughter graduates from medical school and then she'll be Dr. Berrian!!!
5. I am blessed to have my mom and she says she is coming to the graduation and will arrive next Wednesday!
Love you!!
Joann

Hi, sweetie! I have not been on twitter much or reading blogs, but I checked yours today and what a delight!! Happy belated birthday to dear Poppy!! Such a joy in your life!! Congratulations on your business success (we all knew you would do it!). The thing that made me the happiest this week was seeing the old apple tree at the cabin in absolute full bloom on a glorious day. As we go up about once a week or twice a month, it is easy to miss this brief moment of beauty! All the bees were sooo busy and if I keep the good thought, perhaps we shall be rewarded this fall with a bountiful harvest. Sending lots of hugs, Sherry xoxo
