Happy first birthday to our sweet Theodore!
What an absolutely wonderful year this has been! How this can be a year a go, I truly have no idea!
Teddy has such a sweet soul, the biggest smile and the most infectious giggle. It is the best sound I have ever heard and it completely melts my heart every time I hear it.
Determined and fearless, Teddy will pursue anything that piques his curious nature. He loves crawling, climbing, pulling himself up and cruising along furniture. We don’t think it will be very long until he takes his first steps.
His favourite foods are pretty much all foods! His current favourites are mangoes, clementines, broccoli, avocado, salmon and yoghurt.
He adores animals of all kinds, but is especially fond of tortoises, rabbits and dogs. Not a day goes by without hearing his squeals of delight at seeing Poppy, he is utterly smitten with her! Poppy is not quite ready for cuddles just yet, but she loves eating the food that he has thrown onto the floor, which is helping with the budding friendship.
Teddy is quite the fan of Peter Rabbit, so a carrot cake seemed to be a rather fitting choice. The lovely little wooden bunny rabbits are handcrafted in Germany. The bunny with the carrot is by Holztiger and the other two are by Ostheimer. Both brands offer a vast array of different flora and fauna and I would like to collect a few new creatures for every special occasion. I hope this will be the start of a new tradition and before long Teddy will have a nice collection.
Teddy liked them too and he really wanted to give one a nibble!
