What a truly beautiful week this has been! The mornings have that unmistakable chill and low lying mist of early autumn, but it soon burns off into Indian Summer bright blue skies and glorious golden light. This is most definitely summer’s swan song.
Last weekend I was poorly and all I wanted to do was to be outside in the fresh air with the sun warming my skin. I am so pleased the sun continued to shine for the rest of week, I really needed it!
The lady perched on the end of the sea wall was painting the beautiful view in dreamy watercolours. I asked her about her work and it had only taken her about fifteen minutes to almost completely finish her work of art, I was in awe!
It was wonderful to bask in the sunshine and watch the local sailing club members pootling about on the water.
Teddy bear nibbling on his faithful Matchstick Monkey now that he has four teeth (all of which made an appearance in less than two weeks!) and eyeing me suspiciously as we stop for the umpteenth time to take photos!
Are you enjoying this extended summer or are you desperate for autumn? When this beautiful spell of weather comes to an end, I will indulge in all manner of autumnal pursuits. Until then, my heart is where the sun is shining.
Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Ahh it was so nice to see all your pics. You live in the CA section of England with all the waves and the boats. Changing weather can often make people unwell, but so sorry you were under the weather. Mothers aren’t allowed to be sick.
Teddy is looking more darling by the day. I love his little blue romper. It must have been warm if he could go out like that with bare legs. What’s the white squiggly thing on the rail of his stroller? Some sort of bumper guard?
I hope you have a good week with more perfect weather. It’s been so sticky here all summer and not much sign of fall yet tho it’s supposed to rain for a few days this week, one in which I have to go do yet another medical procedure–at 7am. I think they’re trying to kill me since the tests reveal nothing usable to cure me!
I’m looking forward to changing from my year old pink Radley London handbag to my new black one. Get it where you can!
Sending you all many many hugs. Can’t wait to see TeddyBear in his Halloween costume!

Thank you for your lovely comment, Nancy!
The white spiral activity toy has little plush elephants and stars for Teddy to play with. https://www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Spiral-Indy-Cot-Toy/p/SIUCT
They are suitable from birth and he loved to play it, but he has now outgrown it.
Sending you much love and best wishes for a speedy recovery xx
