Thank you all so much for your wonderful well wishes for darling Poppy on my last post. I am thrilled to report that she has fully recovered from her glandular issue and is now being a brave little sausage recovering from being spayed. The operation was speedy and successful and we were only without Poppy for six hours, but it was a horrid six hours that were fraught with anxiety and worry, but all was well and Poppy is now almost fully recovered and the scar is healing nicely.
My dear friend Toria (whose family own Poppy’s grandmother Tara) and I met up during the week and she very kindly gave Poppy a get well soon gift on behalf of Tara
It was very well received!
Poppy realised there were a few torn pieces of tissue paper left so she decided to eat one of them! You can just distinguish the little piece hanging from her mouth like a tongue!
Thank you so much Toria and Tara, you are sweetiepies!
Happy Sunday
Love Morwenna

oh good, now it's all done and you can forget about it!
Poppy doesn't look any worse for wear :o) I can totally relate to the feeling when she was gone for six hours. It's not nice at all, and all you can do is fret and worry until they're back home again.

hello, hello!
Loved finding all your comments! It felt like Christmas, you are a sweetheart.
Well, the wire bases I make myself. Just pilfer a wire coathanger from your hubby's work shirts (that's what I do! he wonders why we always run out!), then snip off the hook part with pliers, make two loops and link together. Then use tape – I used green florists tape, it's self adhesive and doesn't bulk out too much, you can buy it online – to hold the ends together. Once that's done, just shape the wire to how you want it to look. I use strips of velvet fabric that I've stretched first to cover the wire. Stretching it means it will curl in on itself and you don't see any rough edges. Honestly, this is such a simple thing to do. And if you use a hot glue gun to attach flowers on to the base it takes about ten minutes max. I kid you not!
Oh yes, you would LOVE the laduree book, it's a sublime treat. The photos inside have me drooling. I've banned the husband from touching the book with his grimy man hands! The cover has a velvety finish to it too, it really is the most perfect book.
I got another one yesterday (book, not by laduree!), and have just been finishing someting inspired by one of the projects inside. Can't wait to share it, it's so simple and clever, I wish I'd thought of it myself. But I have added my own little twist. And you will love it. I just know you will.
time I was off. have a lovely afternoon. Not breezy here today, just grey and blah, but I think wind and rain are due soon!
