Today is a bank holiday in England (the last until Christmas!) so I made the most of it by taking Thursday and Friday off work. I wanted to have a glorious long weekend to enjoy the last of the summer sun, but in true bank holiday style, I am also experiencing the beginning of the autumn rain!
On Thursday we took Poppy for a lovely long walk on our village beach, followed by a spot of shopping and then a delicious late lunch at one of our favourite eateries. You have already seen Urban Reef many times (here, here and here), so we should probably start to frequent some other restaurants for a change of scenery. However the food is always scrumptious and they are dog friendly, so we are completely and utterly smitten!
We shared the moules marinière and homemade bread as a starter
Dry Provençal rosé is a summer staple!
It was a tough choice, but the pulled pork won the main course
For dessert we shared the summer berry frangipane tart
Hopefully we will get to visit again before the end of summer, perhaps we will go for dinner and sit in the upstairs restaurant to watch the sunset 🙂
