Last night I went to a wreath making workshop at a friend’s house and it was such a lovely evening!
It was so much fun and also very relaxing to methodically layer the moss and foliage and choose the decorative finishing touches.
This was my first time making a fresh wreath, but it will most definitely not be my last!
The florist was fantastic and a fount of knowledge, offering lots of helpful hints and tips throughout.
Initially I thought I would make a traditional holly wreath with fragrant cinnamon and orange slices, but as soon as I saw the beautiful blue-green eucalyptus and indigo ivy berries, I was completely smitten!
This is quite a simple and natural wreath, but I am rather pleased with how it turned out.
It was also my very first evening out since having Teddy almost a year ago! Nathan works most evenings and we have very little family nearby, so we are making the best of our situation. This was a lovely first evening out and hopefully we will be able to venture out together at some point in the not too distant future.
Making a festive wreath in lovely company with a glass of mulled wine and a couple of mince pies, means I am now completely in the Christmas spirit!
