This week has sped by at an alarming rate! I don’t feel as though I have achieved much of anything, except for baking, working and keeping the house in order. This week we are hoping to start work on our office to convert it from a general dumping ground to a useful and well organised space where I can start to create all things Christmas. So watch this space!
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
Wearing our Poppies with pride. Lest we forget
In the summer we planted six Lavender plants (Munstead variety) hoping they would become a pretty and fragrant mini hedge. They have really filled out and are still sporting their delicate lilac petals and silver sage leaves
Some new treats to read
My favourite flowers are always pastel coloured with the occasional pop of bright pink and I rarely veer from my preference. When I saw the colour of these roses, they reminded me of the pretty autumn leaves we saw on our honeymoon in Boston and Cape Cod and I knew I had to have them and make an exception
What has made you happy this week?

Poppy is such a cutie! I love the roses as well.
Happy things for me this week: I'm always happy every morning to have a new day before me. We were able to see our daughter and son-in-law (married on March 17 of this year) on Wednesday. I enjoyed playing bridge with a group of friends at church. The ankle I sprained three weeks ago is improving – gradually. We enjoyed a phone call with our oldest daughter who lives three hours away. There are other things that brought happiness this week, but I will stop with these five.
I hope you will have a wonderful week!

My favorite things right now:
1. A BIG surprise I'll be telling you about soon
2. Thanksgiving is next week and we've begun to make preparations
3. There is some snow on the ground and it's crispy cold!!
4. We had a wonderful time seeing my mom…her home is for sale right now
5. We just saw two great theater performances (live) over the weekend and I'm feeling a bit spoilt!
Go see my last two entries of my blog…. and you'll see my trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains and all of the Fall colors you spoke of during your honeymoon!!

Morwenna, I always love reading and seeing your happy things list! My favourite photo is of you and Poppy, wearing your poppies! So precious! And I love the rich colour of the roses. Who could resist? One thing that is making me happy this week is the fact that Santa Claus is coming to town this weekend. We will be in the parade! Happy Wednesday! xoxo
