The weather this week has been rather topsy-turvy with sunshine and showers staggered throughout each day. This has resulted in the garden and the fields behind our house thriving, which is wonderful. The hydrangeas and lilacs in the garden have so many buds, I can hardly wait for them to bloom and the rapeseed in the fields is now almost hip height. I am so happy that spring is now in full swing!
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
Nothing beats English strawberries at the height of summer, but these pre-season Spanish ones are actually beautifully fragrant and delicious. They will be perfect for tomorrows Mother’s Day pavlova

What has made you happy this week?
I love your posts on your happy things. This week, these have made me happy. 1) being able to visit with the grandchildren who live two hours away 2) having lunch with former co-workers 3) visiting with friends on a special trip to my alma mater 4) singing with the women's chorus as we performed at an independent senior living complex 5) sharing breakfast with special friends at church today (Saturday).
