This has been a rather busy week with lots going on, but not an awful lot being achieved! Although I managed to conduct some much needed closet management, giving away a large sackful of clothes to a local charity. Now I have a little space I can add a few key spring pieces…anything nautical, floral and pastel here I come!

Beautiful pink cherry blossom
The Royal visit to New Zealand has been fantastic so far, with stunning outfits from everyone, but especially the Duchess of Cambridge. When the fresh faced Royal family arrived in Wellington, Catherine was resplendent in a Catherine Walker dress and coat with a Gina Foster Seaford pillbox hat to complete the beautiful ensemble
My first sighting of a Red Admiral butterfly this year
I smelt these three-cornered leeks before I even saw them! They are a member of the onion and garlic family, sharing the same fragrance and flavour. They are delicious in omelettes, salads and pesto
I love Fleetwood Mac, yet cover versions of their fantastic songs are usually a bit of a sacrilige, but this cover by Dana Williams and Leighton Meester is absolutely beautiful

1. That I have amazing friendship in my daughters…..I learn from them every day…LOVE!!!
2. That my middle daughter just finished 2 more classes in her journey to a nutritionist certification
3. That my youngest daughter celebrated her 31st birthday with a wonderful husband at a GORGEOUS place (Meritage) in Napa and she is doing so well in her pregnancy….just a short time now!!! (she is due May 29th)
4. That my sweetheart got a new job and started yesterday…it is a blessing beyond words
5. That my sweetheart came home safely after a tough but wonderful trip to visit his father and family in VA where his dad has been in the hospital for over a month.
Counting my blessings and being SO very grateful for each day!!! xoxo
