Autumn is in full swing, so a few of days ago we headed to the Blackwater Arboretum in Brockenhurst to have some fun frolicking amongst the changing foliage.
Collecting acorns and splashing in puddles, made for a very happy little Teddy!
The woodland is dog friendly too, so it os an ideal place for the whole family to explore and have fun.
I am very fond of crabapple trees, so we planted one in our garden last year. At first it was doing very well and we had lots of blossom, but it started to decline this summer. We have been trying very hard to revive it, so fingers crossed it will work.
Teddy loves to find treasures on our walks and little adventures, so I must find him a sweet little basket to use when foraging. At least then he won’t need to use his snack bag!
This golden beech tree was the star of the arboretum. It was aglow in the autumn light and looked so pretty against the evergreen conifer trees.
There is a lovely sensory wooden sculpture trail in the arboretum and this acorn was definitely Teddy’s favourite.
The woodland is such a peaceful place and with plenty to see and do for the whole family. There are a couple of walking trails that take you through the tall trees and cycle trails too. If you are in the area, it is definitely a lovely spot to explore and enjoy being in the great outdoors.
