We have been on holiday this week and it has been wonderful! We spent the beginning of the week at home taking day trips to some of our favourite local eateries and beaches and then we went to the Cotswolds to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary at the the end of the week. Even the weather has been incredible with the average temperature in the mid-twenties. Needless to say I now have the holiday blues and I am not looking forward to Monday!
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
We stayed in a charming hotel in Oxfordshire for our anniversary and it was simply darling. This is their beautiful and fragrant rose pergola which was utterly enchanting. I shall be back next week with more from our holiday!

Bicester Village shopping outlet is rather conveniently located, just twenty five minutes from the hotel, so we did what we do best and shopped until we dropped!

What has made you happy this week?
Ahhhhh, what has made me happy is the beautiful new grandbaby who has entered our lives. Blake Evan arrived at 5:10 AM on March 29th….after 3 days of labor. He was born at home, with my daughter's husband at her back, massaging her neck and me at her side, massaging her legs. It was an amazing experience as we both chanted with her through her contractions….
And there he was….he arrived peacefully and beautifully and immediately started looking around the softly lit room, prior to sunrise….
I have two granddaughters and now a grandson….and I look forward to making him his favorite cookies, singing him to sleep, and watching grandpa teach him to fish.
So my five favorite things?
His eyes, his skin, his fingers, his toes, and his smile…. oh, may I have a 6th? His bum!!! xoxo
