At the end of our holiday we celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary with a romantic getaway to the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds are so picturesque with beauty everywhere you look
We stayed at Fallowfields which is a charming family run hotel set in twelve acres of land. The hotel is even dog friendly and we had every intention of taking Poppy with us, but my Mother-in-Law very kindly offered to look after her, so we had our first pooch free break away since our honeymoon!
These are the lovely views from our room
The rose pergola was absolutely stunning and it had the most enchanting fragrance
Pears, apples and quince in the orchard
We had an amazing seven course taster menu with most of the ingredients sourced from the bountiful kitchen garden and their own cows, pigs and poultry. Unfortunately I didn’t take my camera to dinner so I cannot show how wonderful the food looked, but you can see some of their images here.
This getaway was the perfect way to celebrate our 4th Wedding Anniversary and it was a very fitting end to our holiday. Now I cannot wait for our next holiday in October and it will definitely be abroad!

I've really enjoyed your getaway posts, but this is my first chance to comment since I've seen them in my email but need to come here to comment. The moment your pictures in the Cotswolds popped up, Boo ran over to be part of the viewing. He enjoyed seeing them as much as I did! What a magical place. It reminded me of Cranford or the other period dramas. I love those old stone structures. Your beach breakfast looks fantastic too, and naturally it made me hungry. My fave there was the colored cabanas (if that's what they are). How charming. So happy for you guys for all your wonderful adventures. England is such a magical place. ♥

Oh, Morwenna! What an enchanted place to get away for your honeymoon! Your mother-in-law was very kind to stay with Poppy so you and Nathan could enjoy your time alone. The photos of the roses are absolutely stunning. So glad you were able to get away for your anniversary. Rosinda xx

Oops, I meant anniversary, not honeymoon. Silly me. xx

Thank you Nancy I am so pleased you have been enjoying my posts! Yes it does look rather like Cranford! Most parts of England are very pretty indeed (sadly some are not!) and I think it is very special when the sun is shining.
Oh yes we call the 'cabanas' beach huts, they are quintessentially English and you will find them at most seaside resort towns.
Have you been to England?
♥

Thank you Rosinda! I know, we were so lucky, and I am sure it was fun for Poppy too!
I am glad you like the photos of the roses, they were absolutely enchanting xx
