I cannot believe that tomorrow marks the first month of autumn, and I am definitely not ready for summer to end! Whilst I certainly appreciate every season and everything they have to offer (well perhaps not the cold winter weather!) I am trying to cling onto the last of this wonderful summer. There is a stereotypical notion about English summers and I must concur that it is actually rather accurate! However the weather this year has been magnificent and it seems as though we have had clear blue skies and bright sunshine since Easter. For this I am very grateful and just hope that there are a few more weeks of summer splendour yet to come.
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
Bountiful honeysuckle in our front garden with the most beautiful intense fragrance that I wish I could bottle!

Sweet little yachts bobbing in the river
An old Routemaster bus converted into a pub

Darling pictures, Morwenna! The sunshine has made me happy this week…Alice squeaking her new 'ducky' toy…thinking about a surprise weekend that's been planned for me & coming up soon…and having my family together for my Mum's birthday yesterday! Have a lovely week sweetheart xoxo
This is another beautiful post, Morwenna! This has been the week of cataract removal from the right eye for me, so I am happy that process was successfully (hopefully) completed. Moving on to the left one on September 10.
Were you here, the first week in September would definitely make you think of summer. Our high temperatures are predicted to reach the low-nineties (F)! Summer seems to be with us for awhile yet.
Old friends and good books and good health have made me happy this week, dear Morwenna! And you thoughtfully sharing your beautiful pictures. Hope you have a lovely September!
