In a rather typical fashion this week has whizzed by and here we are having a relaxing and joy filled weekend again. Nathan unexpectedly had the day off yesterday and it was absolutely wonderful! We had brunch at the beach, indulged in some shopping, had dinner at a lovely pub in the forest and watched a movie in the evening. It was the best Saturday I have had for a very long time!

Love your blog, Morwenna! Five things that made my week happy? Lunch out with retired teacher friends, lunch out again with another friend, having first one-month checkup following removal of cataract from right eye – 20/20 vision, phone call from one of our three daughters, and leaving on a getaway with my dear husband of 45 years! Actually, at the top of the list should be the blessing of waking each morning! How wonderful that we have a full day ahead of us! xo Nellie

I love your list of happy things; I always do! Aren't unexpected days off the best? I'm so glad you and Nathan enjoyed a lovely Saturday. It sounds like a perfect day to me! Nuno had a surprise day off on Friday and so we headed north with our girls for an unexpected overnight stay in the Muskoka region of Ontario. So many things have made me happy this week – the Indian Summer we are experiencing , the spectacular fall foliage, acorn hunting with Nuno and my girls, an unexpected overnight getaway, and the yummy apple pie I made earlier in the week. Wishing you a happy Monday and a wonderful week ahead! xoxo

Thank you so much Nellie, I love your comments!
I am thrilled for your checkup, it must be incredible to have 20/20 vision (I wear contact lenses, so I am rather envious!) and your romantic getaway sounds wonderful! xo
