Golly gosh, how on earth is it December tomorrow?! I am amazed at how time is flying by, yet I am also rather excited that Christmas is now less than a month away. Even more exciting for me is that it is my birthday on Thursday and I have the day off to celebrate! We have a few ideas for a fun day out, although we may wait until the day to decide, just in case the weather is inclement. As long as I have my darling husband, sweet little pooch and a glass of mulled wine I will be a very happy 32 year old!
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…

I finally made Martha’s speedy one pot pasta and it was delicious!
A leisurely walk through the Christchurch ruins
Basking in the last of the sunshine
A yew tree which looks ready for Christmas
Pretty pink sunset
What has made you happy this week?

Getting one room finished—well, finished for now. Having a wonderful Thanksgiving with family, even though some could not be with us, a GLORIOUSLY warm day where I went out in a tank top and painted furniture!! A video sent from Amanda showing Blake eating egg yolk, and dinner out with Cadie, Kris and Shaina and Dima at Cracker Barrel with Rod…. fun!!

I have been reading your blog for years now, and decided it was high time that I attempted to comment again. (Tried once before, and for some reason, it wouldn't allow me to??) Anyway, I love your "Five Happy Things" of the week, and the lovely photos you attach! Have a Happy Birthday on Thursday and lots of fun with your celebration! Judy in CA

Major happiness here with the arrival on Wednesday of one daughter, son-in-law, grandson (11) and granddaughter (8). Thursday brought the arrival of oldest daughter, and by evening the remaining daugher and son-in-law were here. Blessed by many good times as all but last daughter and sil stayed until Saturday! Now, thankful for a very good washing machine and dryer.:-) Sending along early happy birthday wishes. Have a great week!
