I think they got some awfully bad luck on the naming front though; Scabious (Scabiosa) does not do these beautiful flowers justice! Their affectionate nickname is Pincushion Flower, which is far more appropriate

Aren't they beautiful. There are only a few blue flowers among my faves but those would definitely be on the list. No clue if they have them here. Really amazing how the little buds in the center burst into teeny inner flowers. Happy Fall!
