This week has been cold and windy with a little sprinkling of snow. I have been desperate to get outside and do some gardening, but it has been far too bitter. Instead I got stuck into some spring cleaning and organising, hopefully this will encourage spring to arrive!
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
I have been poorly this weekend, so I am grateful for homemade tomato and thyme soup (and the fortuitous good sense I had to freeze batches when I made it last week!)
A beautiful bouquet of flowers and a sweet card I was given when I left my part time job yesterday. There is also the name tag I never have to wear again!
Poppy sprained her back last week, so she has been feeling a little sad and sore. With the help of anti-inflammatories she is making a recovery and that makes me very happy
What has made you happy this week?

Oh so sorry to hear that both you and Poppy are under the weather. I didn't know dogs could sprain anything, poor little girl. Hope you're both feeling better soon. Beautiful bouquet they gave to say how much they'd miss you but I'm sure a more challenging job will be more rewarding. Homemade food frozen for a lazy (or sick) day is the best. I always have Nancy Cuisines in my freezer. Sending you get well huggs and some virtual posies! ♥

Sorry to hear that you have been poorly this weekend, and dear little Poppy too! I hope you are both feeling better today. Your happy posts always make me happy. Your tomato soup looks gorgeous and those sunny, yellow daffodils are so pretty! Here's hoping spring arrives very soon for both of us! Have a wonderful week, sweetheart! xoxo

Oh poor Poppy!!!!!!!!!!! And you as well my dear!! I am so sorry you were not feeling well over the weekend; however, the soup will make its way through your system and fill you with nourishment to get you good as new once again!!
I am very anxious to get things organised as well! Wish we could do it together–there are probably things of mine YOU could use and vice versa!!
I am thankful for the biggest snow we've had so far this winter. After the horrible fires, we are all praying for more!
I am thankful for being able to get to California last week safely and see my daughter and son-in-law and have dinner with Rod's son and 'maybe' future daughter-in-law at a wonderful restaurant in Berkeley called Gather.
I am thankful for an AMAZING train ride into San Francisco with my daughter and a new pair of shoes!!
I am thankful for an incredible day of wedding dress shopping this past Saturday with my middle daughter…..and, she said YES to a dress! (more on that to come!)
AND….I am thankful for my sweetheart who gave me two love filled cars, a night out at a favorite restaurant, and a back/hip rub that was so needed!!
Here's to Spring and gardening!!

Hi 🙂 Like Nancy, I didn't know dogs or anyone could sprain their back. How painful 🙁 poor thing.
Do you know that I've been wanting to make home made tomato soup for months now? I just didn't get the gumption up to do it. It seems so hard, even though I've never tried it. Yours looks delicious. Perhaps I'll give it a try this weekend 🙂 Anythings better than canned 🙂
Daffodils! I love those dears. They are patient and always there right when you need them <3
blue eggs… Martha Stewart would love those 🙂
and the bouquet is so pretty. I love purple 🙂
I'm thankful for working someplace so close I can walk there and have wonderful kind women to work with is a bonus.
I'm thankful for my family who are the heart of my heart.
I'm thankful for the hardships through the years and the hurts also because they all came to make the ME I am today 🙂 I'm so thankful to be the me I am.
I"m extra thankful for my Susan Branch tweethearts 🙂 If it weren't for her, I'd not have met all of you kind ladies! <3
so nice to catch this post, Morwenna.
