This week we have been on a staycation and the rain has been relentless, but it hasn’t hampered our fun! There have been lots of walks on windy beaches, movies, copious amounts of good food and some shopping thrown in for good measure!
These are my favourite things which have made me happy this week…
Celebrating our 14th Anniversary as a couple and these pretty pastel tulips from my love
Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” is the perfect tonic for these cold dark February days. Play it loud, dance your socks off and feel happy!
Sweet Sylvester trying to be the centre of attention whilst I plan a date night outfit
These lovely free desktop wallpapers, from Sugar Paper which are so pretty I had to download them all! This is my current favourite
This absolutely adorable Budweiser advert from last weeks Super Bowl which most definitely brought a tear to my eye!
What has made you happy this week?

My mum came home from the hospital on Wednesday. After a little more than two weeks and us staying with her 24/7, it was a trying ordeal and my biggest blessing and why I have a grateful heart is for FIVE REASONS.
1. God: I was with her when it happened. We had just come home hours before from California when we got the call that she wasn't feeling that well. We rushed over, rushed her to the hospital, and she had a heart attack in the hospital while I was holding her hand
2. Good doctors made good decisions
3. My wonderful sweetheart was a tremendous source of strength, both physically and emotionally for all of us
4. My daughters helped me tremendously. My youngest daughter who is pregnant with their first child could not be here, but she offered tremendous support emotionally and spiritually. My oldest daughter flew home from a business trip in Phoenix to be at her grandma's side and spent two nights in the hospital, giving others a break. My middle daughter who spent countless hours in the hospital and in rehab, spent many nights with her grandma, and who encouraged me throughout the process, prayed, and was such a source of information, strength and guidance.
5. My mom's spouse, who has been there for her for almost 30 years and would do anything to help her.
Thank you for all these blesssings…… and may this month of the HEART remind each of us to take care of this very essential part of our body.
Blessings and Love,
Joann

I think Staycations are the best because you can putter around, which basically is my everyday life. Yours looked really fun and even with bad weather, it makes it feel even cozier inside. Maybe by spring you'll have sunshine and the chance to go on one of your adventures. I hope so. ♥
Joann so glad to hear your mom is home and healing. HUgggs to you both!
